MarginNote 4 has 3 license tiers: Basic, Pro, and Max. This course will be using the Max version of the app to make sure we cover everything in the app. So bear in mind that some features might be missing if you’re using a different tier of the app.

LiquidText’s homepage is simple, with a small sidebar on the left (labelled Open Document), which lists all the options you have for bringing in documents into the app. It also has a top toolbar with several tools, and the main part of the screen shows your documents and folders in the app.
