Stylus & Palm Rejection in GoodNotes

You can customise how you interact with your stylus in GoodNotes. On the homepage, tap the Settings icon > Settings > Stylus & Palm Rejection.

  • Smart Stylus lets you pick your stylus. At the moment, GoodNotes seems to only support the Apple Pencil.
  • You can Enable/Disable Single Finger Panning which lets you scroll with a single finger when your Apple Pencil is connected. Turning the option off will mean you have to use two fingers for scrolling when writing tools are selected.
  • Set you palm rejection Sensitivity to High, Medium or Low. Even when this is set to low, GoodNotes’ palm rejection is excellent.
  • Select your Writting Posture, at least the most accurate representation from the options provided. It helps improve the app’s palm rejection.
