Make lecture slides for free on your iPad

iPad Pro (with lecture slides) and an Apple Pencil

Most of us prefer taking notes on lecture slides with extra space to write notes on the sides of our lecture handouts. You can use Keynote or PowerPoint. KeyNote comes preinstalled on every iPad; chances are you already have it. If you have a Microsoft school account, you might prefer using PowerPoint.

In Keynote

  1. Open your lecture in Keynote.
  2. Go to the three-dots icon (top right side).
  3. Tap on Print.
  4. Choose the printing layout you want (make sure Print Backgrounds is turned on).
  5. Go to Next.
  6. Zoom-in on the page preview shown on the popup window.
  7. Go to the export icon (top right corner) and select the app you want to export to.

In Microsoft PowerPoint

Keynote doesn’t have a lot of layout options. Microsoft PowerPoint is better.
